Logos is excited to announce this year’s Norman Kretzmann Undergraduate Philosophy Conference!
It will take place on April 26th, 2025 at the Cornell Ithaca Campus.
The conference will feature two keynote speakers:
- Mike Fontaine (Cornell University): At least they don’t put you to death in hell for asking questions. The talk will focus on Socrates, free speech and inquiry, and the idea of “ancient wisdom” in modern times.
- Ben Bradley (Syracuse University): Can We Owe Our Past Selves?
The student colloquia are as follows:
- Bookshelves & Brains: The Capability Approach in Cognitive Enhancement by Nishanth Araveti of CUNY Hunter College in Goldwin Smith Hall Room 158
- Cultural Appropriation as an Activity of Care by Ashley Scheichet of Hamilton College in Goldwin Smith Hall Room 160
- Problems with the Distinction Between Romantic and Friendly Love by Alexander Daniels of Cornell University in Goldwin Smith Hall Room 162
